I’d sell the EV tomorrow but my wife only has an Auto licence and can’t drive my classics

Ha, she is an extremely cautious driver, she used to drive my auto Stag home in the days when I drank alcohol, no need for her to do that now.

In the 30 years I've been with my wife, she has only ever driven one of my Triumphs once! I've had 3 of my Triumphs longer than I've actually known her!! She flatly refuses to drive them, saying they are heavy tanks - and, can you believe it, says they smell like an old car....!!!
Don't know how she works that one out...

Good progress today:

I fitted Alfa passenger seat, drivers had already been done, these are fantastic.

Horn - removed broken ring, found horn push was broken, replaced both and now have working horn

Cooling - drained system, added Barrs Flush, filled with water and drove for c.90 mins, pleased to find block drain tap running freely. Lot of rust came out, ran water through for a fair time before it ran clean, flushed through heater hoses too, refilled coolant and I now have a heater, not great is it :-)

Electrics - swapped lighter socket wiring & washer motor wiring to reflect change to negative earth, disconnected engine bay accessory socket until I sort that wiring out.

Minor progress today, I fitted a clutch pedal rubber as there was some insulating tape masquerading as one, I then went to remove the sealed beams, swapped the outers out fine but the mains need small jumper wires making up for the earth wire, put everything back together for another day and was pleasantly surprised to see that the previously inoperable NS Main beam was now working.

I bought one of the NOS 2.5PI 2 speed wiper motors from Fitchetts, they have a few bits missing so I had it checked over by a wiper restoration chap, he supplied the missing parts too. Obtained a twin speed switch from Lee Godfrey, just need to swap it over now, possibly this weekend but there are a few jobs queued up across the fleet.

A productive day, I didn't get time to change the wiper motor though, the first job of the day was to fit a freshly trimmed pair of Alfa seats in my PI Saloon, I'll stick a pic below as I'm very pleased with the colour match with the chestnut interior.

On the Estate, I fitted a rev counter, voltmeter & oil pressure gauge to a bracket under the glovebox, will now have a look at refitting the parcel shelf that came unfitted, I need some fixings for that. The oil pressure looks good and the alternator is healthy, I still need to swap the ammeter wiring round but it's not urgent.
