I will also check my used wood dash panels. Can you confirm that you want a 2000 panel - do you want to go back to the PFL or keep to a FL with the hazard light switch and seat belt warning lamp?
John
Hi John - As you say, a little different to door card clips.

It would be great if you have some. Whilst you are are it a better surround and lever sock would be usefully well.

Yes I am looking for a Face Lift version. Mine has the hazard switch on the right and has no seat belt light. Is that a known version or has a previous owner just drilled a hole for the hazard switch in the PFL board?

The dash panel you have is the PFL, but someone has added the hazard light switch from a later car by the look of it. On FL cars, the hazard light switch is centrally mounted below the central multi warning light cluster, with the seat belt warning to the left of the combined fuel, volts and temp gauge.
I will check for what you want in the garage tomorrow and send you a pm.

Great stuff Steve - see you at the start. Looking at the cars entered there are more big saloons of all kinds than any other car listed. 28 out of 125 cars and a further 5 on the reserve list.

Had a day on Rusty last week, Sorted out the hazard lights and indicator wiring, with a view to fitting the new to us dashboard, clock & air vent supplied by johnnydog (thanks John) at the next get together. Also fitted some wire reinforced silicone trunking from the air cleaner to the carbs. Also fitted Halogen H4/H1 lenses and bulbs. Yet to fit the relays to take the electrical load of the flasher stalk and headlight switch, another job. Also fitted the repainted grill. Can’t decide what badge if any to fit, it’s a 2000 car with a 2500S engine - anyone have any opinions?

Later cars with the plastic grille had the option of '2500', '2000 TC', 2500 TC, or '2500S' as it was an adhesive backed stick on 'foil'.
The early cars with the metal grill only had the option of the metal badges with '2000', '2500' (only for export models to Australia) or '2500 Injection'.
They aren't interchangeable unfortunately.
As you have the black painted PI style metal grill (which I think look far superior to the alloy look of the 2000) and a 2500 engine, I would try to go for the metal 2500 badge (630314), but I they are difficult to find - maybe worth checking Ebay Australia?
I will check if I have one but I very much doubt it.
But it's personal choice ultimately Chris!

If thats the case, John, I was lucky to find my grille badge in the auto-jumble at Tatton Park all those years ago!

I was under the impression they were fitted to the last of the pre-facelift 2500 models in the UK as well.
