Not critising in the slightest Ross, but is there any reason for fitting a later round top radiator? With your particular attention to detail, should it not be a square /flat top?
Nice to see the original blue fan as well!

Hello John not sure either. I haven’t mixed up any parts and this one came with car, I’ll check as I have 2 spares manuals one up to 74 and another one which is for 74 only maybe it will shed some light if it changed or I’ve got to take it out. Interestingly I found there are two different oil cooler types. When I bought the 73 spare engine and gearbox I took the oil cooler and this one was a round type, however there is a rectangle one on this 73 Pi. I’ll takes some pictures and post them. It’s nightmare when you haven’t taken the car apart yourself. Everyone has different ways of organising the bits and pieces I’ve got 4 baby powder tins of parts it is kind of grouped but personally I tend to bag and label bolts. Having done one car it’s surprising that you do recognise bolts, I guess it’s still quite fresh in my head. It’s funny I haven’t even checked to see when this car was registered it maybe a late production model where change over parts were being used.

Hi Ross,
My Sienna 73 (125bhp) PI has got a transmission oil cooler which is the twin round bar type if that helps.

Hello everyone the goal of getting the car built up and ready for the sprayer is in sight. Sorted out the radiator mixup. It’s been all hands on deck cavity wax completed and carpets in. Just got some plumbing to do, fill up and bleed the fluids, spray the rocker cover and purchase an accelerator cable. Then we might be ready for a burst into life.
