I think I would need to enlist some additional help to get it to the national, Anyone?

Thanks guys, 22 sleeps me and the minions have work to do!

Slight change of plan the suspension parts came back from soda blaster and media blasting. With good weather over the weekend I’ve managed to get them coated so they can harden off this week ready for rebuilding.

Started striping back the engine bay last night, reason one for an epoxy primer when your your car is a long term project!

Image

Newspaper when the car was primered back in 1996 and it didn’t hold up very well, it’s rusted under the coating.

Image

Was really hoping it was a primer over the original paint. Anyway all
striped masked ready for a coat of etch primer.

Managed last night to get the etch primer coat on. Let that anchor itself over the weekend.

Just visited dads, he has been sorting out the engine.

I’ve been in the garden, a few beers in the sun and done these bits.

Ross,
I think your spraying skills are far better than most - buying the small GT was just excuse to get another car!!!!!!
Thinking about it, that excuse sounds familiar actually!!!!!
Just one point though, and I presume you actually know - the D rubbers on the track control arms should be fitted the other way round from how you have them in the photo - the flat side of the D rubber goes in the cup either side of the chassis rail. The curved side goes to the flat washer on the arm, and against the loose washer and nyloc nut end on the threaded end.
