There was some issues with using photobucket, so I’ve created this thread so I can sort out the original thread having no photographs.

Busy couple of days with the aircraft stripper and hot air gun.

I'm pretty sure that once you've done all the 'ugly' bits, you'll pay just as much attention to the 'shiny' bits.

Excellent work, thankyou for sharing, always good to see a 'no corners cut' restoration, well worth it in the end,

Wings in position with self tappers. Alignment of bonnet needs attention, may have to try another bonnet before I start playing around with the brackets. The near side corner of the bonnet is riding up slightly where it meets the front panel.

Looking great Ross.
The proud bonnet at the hinge is common. It is due to the hinge becoming stiff and the hinge itself bending slightly. The cure is a little brutal, but a blanket on the bonnet, a large flat piece of wood and a very heavy hammer sorts it, Oh and a large dose of the brave pills!
Keep up the posts, love it!
