Seam sealer all around the offside floor and the nearside nearly done so put everything back together on Friday then get an MOT booked to see what else needs doing

Based on the utter nightmare I've had trying to get repro carpets to fit in the boot of my estate, the dye sounds like a good plan. I spray died the wheel arch carpets on mine and they look as good as new.

Superb repair to the underbonnet area. Looking really good. Best of luck with the MOT.

Thank you all for the kinds words the bonnet panel is brilliant :D
Unfortunately we just missed the MOT. The tester found a couple of holes in the nearside sill that we had missed.
however it was fine mechanically and electrically
advisories a slight blow on the stainless exhaust (so new it still has Rimmers labels on it)
one of the front discs a bit rough so a bit of hard braking needed.
both number plates are a bit faded
play on rear wheel bearings.
oh and the windscreen washers blocked even though they were fine 20 minutes before i left the car :o

so fingers crossed i can get things done next week

All welding now done but finished too late to get to MOT station, we really need a replacement sill and probably the wheel arch repair panel on the nearside but have patched it up for now.
will order replacement panels when funds permit.

Friday looks like its the day

It Lives It breaths :D

We have an MOT and six months tax ready for April next year.
Picked up Charles and Emma and took to club night last night, till some fetling to do but car running better each mile it covered.

A bit disappointing that first time I used full beam I was rewarded with complete darkness  I haad hoped to use it a bit more before replacing bits.

If anyone has a replacement stalk they can spare let me know.

I've had to order a replacement rack as it decided to drip power steering fluid over the MOT tester, and a brake seal kit has perked up the brakes.

I'll post some more pics over the weekend.
