Hello everyone thanks for the comments. I've started gathering the parts for the engine install. The gearbox decision has been made going for manual non over drive, The thrust throwout bearing, sleeve and pin have been replaced along with a new clutch and pressure plate. The starter motor has been freshened up.

Absolutely stunning. I can't believe it'll have to be sold, I assumed you were doing it for yourself. Someone will get a better than new vehicle though..

Hello Steve I wouldn't sell it until i have finished dads Pi, it all comes down to storage and the lack of it. If i keep it i will lose my welding space and i have a few other barn finds which need attention. We managed to get the engine over the weekend need to finish it up over the next few evenings.

Hello Ross, the car is looking good mate.... Regarding carpets, Danny Hopkins from Practical Classics fitted Coverdale carpets in his 2000 MkII if I remember correctly, and he was reasonably impressed with them, I've heard good things about them elsewhere too.

Glued some new tabs for the worn indicator mechanism. The steering column indicator cancelling tab was red rusty and acted like sand paper so the right hand didn't cancel. The tab has now been coated in epoxy so the wear is reduced.

Wow, amazing, you must be really pleased with the end result? Where did you get the bonnet soundproofing from?
