Hi, Need to replace uni"s on rear axles on my 77 TC, wondering what brands and part numbers people would recommend.
Thanks Joe
Uni Joints
Re: Uni Joints
I think it's guj116, just need to make sure they have the grease nipples, c witor would have the correct ones. It's surprising how long they can last, my 1969 mk 2 still has 3 original joints at on the drive shafts.

Re: Uni Joints
Hi and Thanks, normally would have bought from CW, but in Aus. and recently shipping costs have gone up a lot. There are a lot of dodgy parts around, noticed two of mine are a bit sloppy and getting a clunck from the rear, recently did a reco on the diff, so thought might as well replace them all, as they are probably still original.
Re: Uni Joints
hello again,
I see what you mean, I was just checking ANG classic car parts in the uk, so for the £9.00 joint, postage and other charges looking like £23.00 on top !
As a u/j is such a common part could a bearing supplier in your locality supply if you just give them the measurements ? I hope you can turn something up at reasonable cost.

Gday Joe
Toyo (made in Japan) part no K5-L4R, available on ebay here in OZ $33 each. Mine arrived in 4 days to Melbourne.
Just fitted some to the inner half shaft and they fitted really well.
