Did Autos P.Is come standard with gearbox oil coolers?
Damm thing fitted means i can,t fit a spin on conversion as it hits the oil cooler pipes to the gearbox.

Fitted on my Mk1 PI estate.

Mind you I could do with a better one if anyone has one going spare or something. It is the correct tubular type and the fins on mine are getting in a bit of a state!

As Alan has already said, standard fitment on Mk2 2.5/2500s but special order only on 2000s, at least for the home market. Export models and those built overseas might have different arrangements...

Hello SAH,

not knowing quite how the gearbox oil cooler lines run, this is a bit of a guess. You don't have to install the spin on filter vertically, it can be fitted at an angle, will that give sufficient clearance?

I fitted an oil cooler on my export market 2000 Mk1.
I also have a spin on filter, I can't remember any problem with the pipe work fouling the oil filter. The pipe work is attached to the sump bolts, but I would think it would be quite easy to bend the brackets a little to provide clearance
