DRLs

#1 Post by Phil T » Sun Jan 20, 2019 6:02 pm

When I upgraded my lights to halogen a few years ago, I just didn't wire up the additional sidelights so they were redundant.

I have a trip to Holland coming up, so I decided to wire these as DRLs. Teeing off the back of the voltmeter, I wired through the lights and added LEDs. Below is the result (taken on a sunny morning today).

FWIW over here (New Zealand) it's illegal to run DRL's with park lights/headlights on.

I will be upgrading with a normally closed relay which will open when the sidelights are on.

Just have to await delivery from China..........
