Since I fixed the earthing issue my car had I have now set to work at fixing all the other minor electrical issues which the earth problem was partially masking.
The most annoying of them at the moment is the fuel warning light is stuck on. The sender unit appears to be working as the fuel gauge works correctly (read half when I was at half a tank and went up to full after refuelling).
If I unplug the wires on the sender unit it will turn off so it is not being earthed somewhere else by mistake.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Oliver

Hello Oliver,
it's fairly easy to remove the sender unit and possible that you will see the problem once it is removed and hopefully rectify it?
