Hi, I can't seem to figure out how to remove the gauge in triumph 2000. There are two instrument pods. Any since way to get them out?

Like everything on a Mk1 dash board, they are fixed from behind, so it's a little awkward especially if you don't know what you are feeling for. Three knurled nuts on studs attached to the back of the speedo and temp/fuel/amps with little metal brackets that pull them into the dash.

Re: Removing clocks mk1 - How to remove feel, charge and temp
Thanks everyone. thankfully I haven't had to take it out yet. I had been fiddling about behind dash with ignition barrel and thought I may have disturbed something as when barrel done the fuel gauge was not working.
So, I just shorted the sender to be on the safe side and the needle swung up. So I took out the sender and moved about. Seemed to work ok and give reading now, so can only assume that it might have got stuck. Sadly though although not as urgent, the Ammeter doe not work. The needle is on C constantly and never moves. So I may still need to remove and follow this advice. Suppose after 47 years you expect a few faults. I am 44 and that seems to be bearing things out.
Is a MK1 by the way.

Do you have the original generator, or is an alternator fitted? If an alternator, ammeter won't show discharge.
