Hi all
The wipers on my mk1 are very slow to come on when I flick the switch on and then work there way slowly across the screen is it the switch or the wiper motor or where should I be looking cheers Pete

Probably the motor. Brushes and / bearings usual suspects or could be semi seized wheel boxes.

You might be lucky and be able to sort it by re-greasing the rack.....try turning the wheel box spindles 180 deg before re-inserting the rack, and also turn that 180 deg and you might be okay
