Hi.
just taken 1971 2000 estate for m.o.t and every thing OK but had an advisery that had no hazard warning lights, but ive never had them, my question? did they become legal for m.o.ts at a certain time or year of car? cheers t2000

You are right, as long as they were never fitted it is not a requirement for vehicles first used before 1 April 1986.

Vehicles first used before 1 April 1986
A hazard warning device is not required by Regulation, but, if one is fitted, it must be tested.
The hazard warning lamp 'tell tale' may be a separate light or the same as the indicator 'tell-tale. However, it must be a flashing light.
