Information on my car,s history, if possible

#1 Post by tadge44 » Tue May 14, 2019 7:35 am

Has anyone any information on my 2500TC please, registered SGJ537R ?

Bought from a dealer but virtually no history.

It is in green (not sure which green) and has PAS and overdrive.

I would suggest joining the Triumph 2000 Register ( your user name will be in orange when you do). The Membership Secretary may then be able to assist you with some details if it has been owned previously by a Register member.
A Heritage Certificate from Gaydon should provide details of when it was built, original chassis / engine no, and options (not that there was many available!), and when dispatched and to which dealership. No ownership details as it is from factory records. There is a cost for this.
You used to be able to get previous owner details from the DVLA for a modest sum, but whether this has changed with the new Data Protection Regs from last May, I'm not certain. This may affect the amount of info you can find out about the car which is a pity. I do know that replacement V5 reg docs do not now have previous keeper details on anymore because of these new regulations.
That used to be handy to start chasing up previous keepers for history etc, but yet another thing that has been removed that, in my view, was unnecessary, but......

Thank you.
I am a register member and the register has no previous knowledge of my car.

If you PM Mike Stevens (Adminstrator) he should be able to update your status to 'orange'.

I have to check with Maggie first, but then I'll be pleased to change your status to member. (And you get the orange status!)

Cheers,
Mike.
