Attended our annual local big classic car meet yesterday for the first time in a number of years and was surprised on two accounts. Firstly out of approximately 1500 vehicles there was only one 2000 - a '66 model. Secondly - hence the post - towards the end of our visit and tucked away in a corner on a trailer was a 74 'M' 2000 saloon for sale. i can only assume it was a standard 2000 as it was pretty much bare. It had obviously been found somewhere after a long lay up.... All the doors were open but not the bonnet or boot. Plenty of previous repairs to all the inner arches,no cill trims, shabby interior, damaged O/S front wing, dull flat delft blue paint ,underneath by what i could see was pretty flaky to say the least.....price …. 2995.00  It did have a lot of interest though, and that was just in the half hour i was looking at it....

In the condition you say, sounds a bit top heavy, but seeing some of the prices they get on Ebay, anything is possible! Good for the values of them, unless you are in the market to buy of course!

I agree with you in the values - as in good for them - this 2000 needed work however. And I am no expert! It did surprise me as im starting to realise what they can cost to re-fit.

The more and more I think about it, the car was proper rough.REALLY rough. Even though mine has stood far longer than I had planned, at least its been dry etc.
