cross member
Hi all. Does anyone know if the Stag cross member with anti roll bar mountings is the same as the 2500s? Cheers

Re: cross member
The anti roll bar on a Stag bolts directly to the chassis rail extensions, rather than to the cross member - I think! Despite having both vehicles (and rebuilt both), I can't remember and I can't go and look at I'm out of the UK at present.
The Stag engine mounts to the chassis rails not a cross member like on the big saloons and it's this cross member that the ARB fits to on the big saloons.
I'm sure a browse on t'internet will find something.
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: cross member
Mike is correct. A 2000 arb mounting is quite different. Fortunately 2000 spares prices are more affordable than Stag prices!!

Re: cross member
The Triumph 2000/2500 shares the same front cross member for the suspension as the Stag (309156) on which the steering rack mounts.
The 2000 has the additional engine cross member just in front of it on which the anti roll mounts, and is part no 217170 for early models and TKC1940 for later models with the engine spacers for the HS6 carbs. Because of the angle of the engine mountings, and the spacer on the later models, the holes are in a different position on the offside of the car.
As has been said, the Stag doesn't have this engine cross member, as the welded engine mountings are by the chassis rails and the anti roll bar is mounted individually on the chassis.
The ARB is different too - 2000 is 217149 and the Stag 216662.
Hope this helps.....
