Sales Brochures

#1 Post by kevinw » Thu Feb 04, 2016 6:48 pm

As many will know, I am on contract with a publisher for a new book to be published this year on "our" cars. I am interested in borrowing some sales brochures to scan for reproduction in the new book. If you happen to have any of the brochures that were published by Standard - Triumph and British Leyland on "our" cars and would be willing to lend them to me to scan, after which they will be returned, could you let me know? I am supposed to have the entire work ready for submission at the end of April, so time is getting on

Contact details (preferably by email, please) are in SIXappeal.

thanks

Kevin

Can you let us know what you do have Kevin, and perhaps some of us can help fill the gaps.

I've got a "home market price list" from 15th Jan '69, which is interesting, but no pictures.

Somewhere I had a late 60s brochure for the 2000/2.5 which was complete and in fair condition apart from a small quantity of purple crayon (I was very young....) however I'm not sure where it is as I don't remember unpacking it when we moved. I'll have a look when I get in but suspect it may be in a box at my Mum's so inaccessible any time soon.
I seem to remember this picture was in it: http://triumph2000register.co.uk/wp-con ... te_800.jpg

Hi, David -

I've received that one (dated 3/72) from Tony Edgeworth, so no need to worry about that one. But the offer nevertheless is much appreciated

As an addition, I've got 3 MK2 brochures that cover the range, pre and post facelift, but what I could really do with is MK1 brochures if anyone should have them?

I think I can help you here Kevin,
but first, if I may I'd like to go very off topic......
:D I greatly enjoyed your articles in Six Appeal detailing your exploits as a coach operator.

Now, to business,
I have a 2000 mark one brochure, which includes the estate.
If you would like to borrow this, please PM your contact details.

Thanks.
