New Register Webmaster

It would seem that I have managed to ‘volunteer by proxy’ (thanks Kevin!) for the position of webmaster for the Register.

Kevin spotted that I had an IT background and it is clear that whilst Andy has been doing a fantastic job in ‘keeping the lights on’, the website and social media aspects of the Register need a bit of work.

The Register committee approached me at the National – and then threatened to sit me on a rock for three hours surrounded by four people until I agreed to undertake the position – and I found myself agreeing to take on the position of webmaster.

Unfortunately, whilst I am ‘enthusiasm rich’ I am also ‘time poor’ due to a very demanding day job and young daughter. Therefore, please don’t expect a sudden change as things will be evolving slowly in the background.

The committee has some great ideas and a vision of how they want the club to be presented and work for members online, and I will be working closely with them to ensure that we make it the best we can. I’d welcome any feedback or ideas from the members as to what you’d like to see/do online…

I will try and keep everyone updated on progress through SixAppeal, but also hope that you will also start to see some changes to the website and social media in the very near future.

Mike continues with his role on ensuring the Forum is administered appropriately, alongside support from myself and Alan wherever possible.
