Submitting posts

#1 Post by Mike Stevens » Wed Feb 11, 2015 1:04 pm

I have noticed recently that it is taking a long time from clicking 'submit' on a post to the next screen appearing. I initially thought this was due to the IT police here at work, but I have noticed a sharp increase in double posting recently. Maybe the slow response is being seen by others too and they are clicking 'submit' again maybe? I know I have and have then got a double post (which I then deleted).

Just some observations!

Cheers,
Mike.

I have noticed this too. Perhaps it is the new host we have and we need to be patient?

I think you've made your point Charles.

We're on a new server now I think?

Mike.

We are on the new servers now. I personally have not had a problem, but I am monitoring it.
A new website is being built, and some of the current glitches we have running the old site on the new hosts are being worked on....... But it takes time.
Bear with us, but please let me know if by thing becomes a major issue.

I pointed this out to Alan over the weekend via PM, at first I thought my internet connection was running slow, then I noticed a lot of duplicate posts, presumably because people assumed their posts hadn't registered. Strangely enough, PM's go straight through without any delay.

Funnily enough it's doing it to me, but the Club Triumph site is doing the same thing at the moment.

Yes, me too. I've learnt to just wait until it all comes back.

It's not a problem and perfectly manageable.

Cheers,
Mike.
