Placing adverts on the website and in SIXappeal

#1 Post by Chris Saunders » Sun Mar 16, 2014 6:49 pm

I would like to place an advert on the website and in SIXappeal. In view of the total lack of response (& action) to the numerous emails that I sent recently to the Advertising Editor, asking him to move my current advert from the “For Sale” section to the “Wanted” section, can anyone suggest how I go about placing a new advert?

I'm on it for you Chris. I'm going to ring Don in a bit. I think we may have some email issues at the moment.
Bear with us.

I will bear with you Alan, but with all due respect, I first contacted you regarding this problem a month ago. We spoke again at Stoneleigh, mean while I’m still getting people contacting me to buy the items that I’m trying to buy because my ad was placed in the “For Sale” section instead of the “Wanted” section, despite numerous attempts to get Don Reed to move it.

I must be honest with you Alan, this problem and the problems I encountered in the past trying to get a response from the Webmaster, when I couldn’t sign onto the forum as a new member, has left me really p****d off to the point that I’m debating whether to renew my membership. I think it’s one aspect of the club that needs sorting out.

Understood Chris.

Its not good that you can't get hold of people when you need to.

However, we are working on trying to find out what is wrong. The emails from adseditor@ just don't seem to be diverted to Don's personal email address. Not everyone has the equipment available to have a direct access email address.

We are also reliant on the help and assistance (and when this is IT related, it needs the right person who has the access codes and the knowledge!) of people who are volunteers to run our club, so sometimes things do take a little longer than hoped.

I have sent you a PM, explaining this, with an alternate email address to use, however Don has assured me he will move the advert to the correct section.

Your wanted advert is now in the correct place.

Apologies for the delay,
