When you are making a new post, there are several sections to the area where you compose it. If you scroll down the page a bit, underneath the 'Preview | Submit | Save | Cancel' buttons, you will see the 'Upload Attachment' section.
Simply click on the 'browse' button and navigate to the file on your computer. Once you have located the picture, click 'open' or 'choose' and it will go into the filename section. You can then add a comment about this picture if desired.
Once you have done this, click "Add the file". By default this will place all pictures at the end of your post. If you want to place a picture in a particular place, go back up to the message creation section, you will see the file name available next to 'Attachments'. To add the picture to a specific point in your message, place your cursor where you want the picture to appear and click "Place Inline". You should then see it appear.
Pictures will go in as 'thumbnails' that can be clicked on to enlarge.
Keep pictures below 640px in either direction so that they don't clog up the board.
