Triumphs on YouTube
Hello everyone,
some of you may have watched clips of our cars on you tube, so if anyone is interested here is a link for a couple of NZ cars having a brief test, the cars have a club sticker in so owned by one of our members but I don't know who. A couple of very smart cars being driven in lovely weather.
All the best for Christmas,
Michael.

A well presented video reflecting both the 2500TC and 2.5PI extremely well! Both cars look fantastic - even the 'brown' looks stunning!
Envious of the Christchurch weather....
The English presenter was obviously very impressed with them both. As you say, interesting with the Register badge in the windscreen....
Well worth a watch!

Re: Triumphs on YouTube
If this is the latest 'Hub Nut' video just uploaded, the cars belong to 'our man in NZ' Chris Barker. Hubnut is Ian Seabrook (used to live 5 minutes from me & I'd see him most days in his red & white 2cv). He lives in Wales and edits a UK Jap car mag. He also had a P6 Rover so is good to hear him wax lyrical about our cars! Take time to read the comments, just about all are enthusiastic and complimentary about the model - exactly what one finds chatting to folks at shows. Happy memories

Re: Triumphs on YouTube
I was sent this earlier today by WhatsApp by a couple of 'Facepagers', probably because they knew I wasn't part of the 'flock'.
Interesting to watch (best colour too!!). Good that Tomorrows World used a PI!
The car is not known on the DVLA website - presumably scrapped many years ago.
Nice sideburns though....!!!!

Re: Triumphs on YouTube
Nice...
I wonder if this car may have been the basis for the SSV2 'Experimental Safety Vehicle' exhibited by BL at the Transpo '72 symposium held in Washington DC in 1972? SSV2 is described by David Knowles in his MG history as 'a Triumph 2.5PI that featured such advanced features as anti-lock brakes, self-levelling headlamps and a speed-controlling radar system linked to the throttle and brakes', which certainly seems to correspond with the one shown here.
Equally, whilst difficult to be sure from the video clip, the experimental EFI system looks like it might be that described in a contemporary article reprinted in Six Appeal a little while back...
