Practical Classics Restorer of the Year

#1 Post by Alan Chatterton » Tue Feb 16, 2016 8:14 pm

As many of you know, my Line Stag Estate was finally finished this year. It also was featured in the September issue of Practical Classics (plus the front page!!)

Gave our cars and our club a good bit of media coverage.

As part of being in the magazine, I automatically got entered in the Restorer of the Year competition.

The first part was a readers poll to get from 24 to 10. The final 10 then get invited to display on the Practical Classics Stand at the Restoration Show at the NEC on 5th/6th March, where the final winner will be chosen and announced.

I have just been told that I have made the final 10, and so I am going to the NEC!

It was a readers poll, so that suggests to me that the readers of PC like our range of cars!!

See what happens in a few weeks. I am not expecting to win at all, there are some serious cars in the running................. but the press coverage is not hurting our club at all!

Good news indeed Alan. I'm sorry to say that we will be out of the country when the show is on so won't be able to come along and heckle!

Good luck anyway and as you say, it can only help to raise the profile of 'our' cars.

Cheers,
Mike.
