Rare cars you've seen recently
Hello all,
seeing the name Pegaso reminded me that they made quite an advanced sports car many years ago. I've forgotten all the details but they were expensive and quick?

Hello Dave,
yes, and as can be seen from the description, a powerful one as well. It received a good write up in the magazines of the day, I seem to remember.

Seen today, in Wigan, a tidy if not quite concours D regd Ford Anglia estate, out in the cr*ppy weather too! Not too sure how many estates survive, but I've not seen one in years.

Re: Rare cars you've seen recently
It would appear that from the date of the previous post in this thread that there aren't many rare cars around these days, but seen this afternoon on a rather murky M6 northbound just past Preston I spotted what I think was a tidy looking Rover P4 convertible, albeit on a trailer.

Every day I see a Vauxhall Omega 3.2 Elite estate, which, believe it or not, are becoming a bit of rarity these days - albeit it's on my drive in sunny Lancashire!
I think there's a Omega 3.0 Elite saloon in Wigan somewhere, too......

John, here's one for you, with go faster stripes!

That would cope with the rush hour traffic

Re: Rare cars you've seen recently
1975 (N) Cortina saloon (probably an L trim) with a few new (in Red oxide) panels parked on the Great North Road, Hatfield (25/01). With the amount Ford made with each mark, they are quite rare.
I think that is true of virtually all high volume vehicles and survival to made ratio can be quite low 40+ years on. One often needs to go to a show/pageant to see a gaggle.

Yes Dave, I've seen that advert. Be poverty spec though, but with the best engine!! Possibly a bit optimistic on price perhaps? Not really your every day mode of transport....Dave B wrote:John, here's one for you, with go faster stripes!

However, all the equipment in the car won't come cheap; especially in Police Car Enthusiasts circles....
No, I'm not tempted - as you know, I've got enough!!
