Rare cars you've seen recently
Yeah - I think it's the I-could-drive-that-to-the-North-Pole-for-three-hundred-quid-ness about the Niva that makes it interesting. On the other hand I don't want to go to the North Pole and I don't have three hundred quid!
Re: Rare cars you've seen recently
Spotted a Saab 99, a Skoda Estelle and a seventies Mini over the weekend and similar Mini this morning along with a rather lovely Morris 1300 estate.
Re: Rare cars you've seen recently
Took the old girl on a spontaneous trip to the Isle of Wight yesterday and we spotted a BMW E30 Baur convertable, an MG Y-Type, a Bristol 603 and a Vauxhall Chevette Saloon. Great day, by the way, felt like spring...

Re: Rare cars you've seen recently
Friday 22nd late evening, M275 sliproad down to the port in Portsmouth, what I think was a 60's Mustang, broken down on the roundabout right under the bridge with bonnet open! Luckily, it looked like there was a support vehicle right behind.
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Rare cars you've seen recently
This is a bit of a cheat, being as we are currently in Spain hiding from the grotty UK weather. In Seville today, we saw a SEAT 600 - the locally built SEAT copy of the equivalent FIAT model. They used to be everywhere in Spain, but seem to have disappeared of late. Been looking for a Pegaso truck - the proper Spanish lorry with the split screen and sloping cab roof, but I guess these have all long gone.

Much as I sometimes enjoy mixing it I don't think I really have much use for a cement mixer! Just brings back happy memories of holidays and work trips to Spain just after the Franco era when it was still a very foreign country. There were several things you looked out for: SEAT cars, Pegaso trucks and the big Osborne Bull adverts. Now, only the big adverts remain.
