OK now got the engine home, but it will have to wait a while before I get to look at it properly as I have two other engines ahead of it awaiting rebuilds.(Little A series for two friends with A35s which I can do with my eyes closed),
As far as I can tell what I need is a timing cover, rocker assembly, pushrods , a dipstick (!!) and , because it only has three head studs, a set of studs nuts and washers which I see are quire costly.

The head number is 516816 which seems to be the right one to go with the engine number so 8.125" pushrods seem to be the ones ?

If anyone can help please let me know (jonnydog ?)

Just to confirm - do you want the studs in the block for the head, or the studs in the head for the rocker / rocker cover assembly?
Sorry if I have not understood you correctly!!

That is great - thank you.

Can,t see a PM I am afraid.

Do I need to do anything other than click on "private messages" at the top right to see it ?

I have received from another two private messages and can see those by doing so so not sure what is going wrong.

I am on 07941 449277 if you wanted to call this weekend perhaps ?
