Re: Complete MK1 manual gearbox conversion kit
Besides the obvious overdrive gearbox, you will need a 4.11 diff, flanged propshaft, a complete clutch assembly, flywheel, double pedal box, clutch master and slave cylinder with pushrod, manual gearlever, steering column overdrive stalk and wiring, centre console panel and gear lever gaitor, and speedo cable. The exhaust downpipe and centre section were different too with the auto following a wider path round the sump pan, although an auto exhaust can fit with a manual but not the other way round. Officially the speedos were calibrated slightly differently (840 / 1000) but I wouldn't worry about that......
I think that's everything.....
Plus a lot of time and patience to source the bits needed - a scrap donor car is invaluable when doing this...!

Re: Complete MK1 manual gearbox conversion kit
I knew I would forget something ......you would also need the Mk1 metal hydraulic pipe linking the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder - the Mk2 has the red plastic pipe. You would also need the bracket to mount the slave cylinder to the gearbox....
Is there anything else I've forgotten.....?
