#1 Post by Carboy0 » Sun Dec 09, 2018 12:12 am

As per the title, looking for the late Mk2 circular wheel centre embossed with 2000 numbers.

PM me if you can help.

If you mean the circular embossed rubber centre fitted to the steering wheels with the three 'alloy' spokes, as on the PI and 'S (although the PI was actually a larger wheel), they only ever had '2500' embossed in them, not '2000'. The rubber centre of the 2000 in some respects resembled a spaceship with its shape, but was the only rubber steering wheel centre that was embossed with 2000, and won't fit the later three spoke wheel unfortunately.
The only way you could get something like it that wouldn't look out of place on a 2000 is to fit the one that had the word 'TRIUMPH' in the centre instead of '2500', although I can't think at this moment which model actually had these.

Hi

Yes that’s exactly what I mean. I found this on the net and assumed that they were available.

My 2000 has one of these fitted to a PI/S/Stag wheel, it came off a Dolomite Ithink.

Most Dolomite wheels have Dolomite on the centre. Only very very late wheels have the Triumph emblem.

Unless anyone has one stashed away that they would sell, I think I’ll need a trip to the Triumph & MG Parts Day at Stoneleigh.
