Hello just wondering if anyone has a 7 blade fan, also the trim panel which fitted on the c post, nearside required but would purchase both if required. Black or grey. Many thanks.

Hi Ross,
There's a good chance I will have a good black trim piece going spare.
Not sure about the fan - is it the square ended blades or the round ended blades you need?
I will check tomorrow and let you know.

Hello John really appreciate the response. As to which type I'm unsure, my dads is a flat type and his is a 01/73 mine is 01/71. The parts catalogue shows rounded and flat with no explanation really, the assembly was not included with the car unfortunately doh. Ross.

The other point to mention is that with yours being a PI, some were fitted with the blue 13 blade fan - which era this applied to, I'm not certain without the parts book at hand, but I shall try and find out and let you know. I have a 1973 PI which is original and hasn't been messed with, and that has the blue fan fitted......

Further to the different fans fitted, according to the official parts book for a PI......
upto MG10182 - plastic 8 blade
from MG10183 to MG75000 - plastic 7 blade
from MG75001 onwards - plastic 13 blade (was this when the 125 bhp was introduced?)
That explains then why my 1973 Sienna PI has a blue 13 blade fan....

The 2000 is similar, with an 8 blade fitted upto ME22371, but it also lists a 13 blade in the same chassis range (just to confuse things further) and then a 7 blade from ME22752.
My 1970 2000 which is a pretty original car, the fan has square ends if that helps at all.

All the above isn't that confusing, is it?

As for the trim piece, just had a quick look. You know when you know you have a box full, and they are put away for when you need one? It doesn't happen that often, but can I find the box? No. I will have another look tomorrow......
