i be making a list of parts i will be needing fairly soon.
first i will need a used n/s wing for my mk2 est shortly as it has a fiberglass on on it at the moment,would like a metal one.
if anyone has a good one or needs a few repairs that will do,must be fairly cheapish

Unlikely I'm afraid. They are one of the most likely areas to rust, (perhaps after the front valance - which is fixed to the wing anyway). As they are welded all around, they are not easy to remove without damage and new original ones are now like hen's teeth. The next best thing is a pressed replacement one but they are not cheap.

Do you actually need a whole wing? You mention it currently has a fibreglass one, so is it fitted right up to the under bonnet drain channel? If so, then you will probably need a whole wing. If it's just to repair rust, then a half or part wing would do.

Another possibility may be to get a poor wing from a scrapper and then let in repair panels to make it up. However, even the repair panels come at a cost....

may have found one but got to wait for him to have a look at the wing but the car is covered in snow as its still on the car,been on the classifieds for some time as he wanted to sell it as a whole car but he break it for part which be great for me to have the wing...
im just waiting for the email!!!

If that doesn't work, I am scrapping an old 'PI with almost terminal rot. I could cut the wing out, but I'm not sure now good it is. It'll probably need some repair panels let in. Shipping it might be interesting though!

OK, it'll be the weekend now as the car is outside.. It's currently white on top (snow), honeysuckle on the sides and rust underneath!

What timescales are you looking for? I don't know when I'll be able to cut them out....

no rush mike,im happy to wait m8 for the weather to get much much better as i carn't see out in this weather with a grinder cutting it off nicely ..
i just had an email back with photos and the wing i asked about was to much damage(not rotten)just damaged to much to repair i thought so im still looking for one....

I have a S/H NSF wing for a Mk2, in very good condition. I can have it sandblasted & primed if that's any help.
I also have a new, still wrapped rear centre bumper for a Mk2, it has holes stamped in it for the rubber strip, various PI pumps and a used towbar for a Mk2 saloon.

no longer need wing as i sold the 2500 est,brought a 1990 mercedes 230te auto 7seater to replace the triumph
