Tatton Park Classic Car Spectacular - June 2017

#1 Post by johnnydog » Thu May 11, 2017 6:11 pm

If anyone wants to attend the Tatton Park Classic Car Spectacular with the Giant Cheshire Autojumble near Knutsford (off J19 of the M6) over weekend of Saturday and Sunday 3rd / 4th June this year, I may have a few places available for both days. It is one of the biggest classic car shows in the North of England, and promises to be a great weekend, whether you are interested in visiting the hundreds of classic car club shows, or rummaging through the massive autojumble! You can attend on Saturday or Sunday, or both if you wish. I have no objection to non members attending, but would ask that they at least consider joining the Triumph 2000 Register to gain from the benefits available to members. The cost of entry for two days is more than half the cost of the annual Register membership subscription, so with a free pass for entry on the Register stand seems like a bargain to me! However, you can only gain entry with a Triumph on production of a pass for the relevant day - no pass, no entry!
If interested please pm me ASAP!

John, I have posted out the pre-booked passes whilst you are 'topping up your tan' and there are two sat/sun passes and two sun only passes available.

What it's like to be able to delegate!!!!!
Many thanks Dave!
If there is anyone interested in attending on any of the days Dave has mentioned, then perhaps it would be better to pm Dave as he is sorting the passes out at the moment as (he has 'let the cat out of the bag') I am away sunning myself...... 8)

A superb weekend for the Register at Tatton Park! The relatively prominent stand was full to capacity on Saturday with 11 cars (there was one 1 'no show' which was a 'blessing in disguise' as there was no more room!). We had a bit more breathing space on Sunday with 8 cars. Saturday's are usually the quieter day of the two, but not this time!
A successful weekend too - on Saturday, the Register won Highly Commended 5th place (an improvement on last years 6th place!) for the stand display, and Cec Lane managed to talk a new owner of former member Alan Deans old Sapphire Blue 2000 to join the Register (ably assisted by our very own Regalia Officer Jan Stewart) and then on Sunday Bob Maddock won a plaque for the best Triumph 2000!
Dispite a couple of brief showers, it was hot and sunny for the majority of the weekend.
Many thanks to all that turned up with their Triumphs to make it a success!
A detailed report and pictures will hopefully appear in Augusts SIXAppeal.

If anyone fancies the August Show at Tatton Park (19/20th), please let me know ASAP!
