All Triumph trackday in Lincolnshire.

#1 Post by CAR » Wed May 23, 2012 1:19 pm

In April a few of us from Doncaster went in our Triumphs on the Practical classics trackday at Blyton.
We had a fantastic time and decided to approach the organisers about costs for having a closed day for us and other Triumph owning enthusiasts.
If we could get enough takers it would be a very reasonably priced event without the supercars that can make a regular trackday a moving out of the way exercise.
See here http://www.blytonpark.co.uk/ for the venue and the next edition of SIXappeal for a write up on how the day went.

So the question is 'are you in?'

Just seeing how much interest there is and whether it is worth pursuing further.

Tom has been in touch via the CT forum, he is up for it.
Have to say following him through Jochen with his exhaust flaming like a touring car, is a memory I shall cherish for a while.
His TR6 is an AWESOME piece of kit which refereshingly rides on tall 15" tyres on 6x15 minilites. The list of mods and bespoke items it has under the skin reads like a lottery wish list, I'm sure if wider wheels and low profile rubber would make it much better, Tom would have them.

So have you seen my report in the SIXappeal which may have dropped on your door mat today, so who wants to do a trackday now?

Thanks very much, another great thing about a Triumph only trackday is that you can go at your own pace. Do as I did, a few laps at first to see how the car is taking, it has to be the best way. FRanK is none the worse for the whole episode.
Is there anything that these big saloons can't do?
