Fitted 2 new bushes today all went back together well and washers were all as expected. 1 bush was really shot the other wasn't too bad.

I still have a vibration through steering and car after new gearbox mount, checking all u/joints ( had prop shaft off . Vibration coming through car again between 50 -65 mph. There is slight movement (very slight ) on rear bearing??? Not sure if front shocks ? had new top mounts by previous owner. Balanced all wheels. Any suggestions?

If you think it is in the driveline, I would undo the fixed flange end of the propshaft and turn it through 180 degrees.
Has it been replaced the same way as it came off relative to sliding joint? There has been previous discussions on here as to which way round is the best to fit them.
Removal of the propshaft may have altered the balance to cause the vibration if it hasn't been replaced in the same orientation as it came off.

Hi,
Can I ask a further question - When doing the 4 wheel alignment adjusting the rear, is it adjusted through the moving of the subframe mountings bolts as I feel the right hand side may have moved slightly during the rebuilding. Or is it because the car sits differently now with the new mountings therefore causing more vibration and affecting the position of the driveline? cheers.

There are shims, between the ally trailing arm and the box section subframe . If i remember rightly on mine, there were 2 on one side, and 6 on the other - for now i cannot remember which side was which,but i would of made note of that somewhere. When i rebuilt it, i replaced like for like, just with new shims. My own Estate is in for a four wheel alignment this week coming, and will be posting up the results, if that helps.

Further to Forkies post, the shims are one piece per side spanning both bolts, and have two open ended slots in them. To fit them, the two bolts from the shackles through the box sections only have to be loosened to slide the shim/s in rather than having to remove each individual bolt to fit them which makes the job somewhat easier and quicker if being done at a wheel alignment place.
