MK2 steel wheels on a MK1

Ok so iam struggling abit to get a set of MK1 steel wheels,mostly a postage issue...
Can I ask will MK2 steel wheels when fitted to a MK1 still be able to take the original wheel embellishers and hubcaps,i know a MK1 whhel is 4.5 J and a MK2 5J.

From.memory Dave, I recollect that the hub cap fits but the embellisher doesn't fit properly as the lip is against the outer edge of the rim which is effectively wider (if that makes sense...?)
