Brake dust shields

#1 Post by Calorian » Mon May 29, 2017 7:22 pm

Hi guys,
Having just changed my front brakes over to stag ones I've noticed the dust shields are scrap. How crucial are they really. I know a lot of people have removed from various cars over the years so just wondering if removal would also aid heat release etc.
Cheers

I ditched mine years ago. They serve no purpose apart from occasionaly trapping gravel behind them. Ditch them and save the weight.
