Hi Guys,

My Valentine is fitted with full alloy master cylinder noted "master cylinder (later models)" in Haynes workshop manual.
Servo unit is remoted as well.

My issue is where can I find either a seal kit or a replacement unit (recon or brand new)? This part does not appear neither on Chris witor nor on Rimmer bros websites.

I think the master with plastic can is a later replacement unit developed for countries where regulation requires a transparent can like in France. If the fitting braket is the same, I think it can make the job without any issue.

Thank you very much Alec, POWERTRACK LtD answered very accurately and seems to be able to provide the right parts.

However I have had some time issue and difficulties to identify the servo assembly yet.

Moreover, when looking more at it I discovered the either the servo or the whole brake pipes are no longer connected to the master cylinder!!!!! This can be seen on the pictures I did not notice before!!

Then, we will soon remove that useless servo assembly to check on all its faces if we can find an identification number...

Anyway, from my donor early 2000 I would be able to fit its servo assembly on Valentine PI. Do you think it can be efficient enough for a PI? At least it will be more than a disconnected servo!!!

progress is progress. I really can't answer your question whether the standard servo is good enough, either trial and error or perhaps someone else knows. My MK1 with a P.I. engine has a Mk 2 servo as this is what I had handy.

Hello Alec,

Do you mean a MkI single circuit master cylinder fit on a MkII servo?

Anyway, Oorah!! When removing the servo we were able to read the number embossed on the cylinder and, nice surprise, an identification plate screwed behind.

I do hope Paul from Powerbrakes will be able to supply replacement or reconditionned!

Hello Michel,

sorry for the delay in replying as I have been on holiday.

I fitted a MK 2 servo into my MK1, not a direct swap as it is a larger diameter than the Mk 1 servo, so I had to make a spacer and mount the clutch master cylinder further forward for it all to fit.
