Guess I'll pick up the bar and other fixings and see how it's done on a Stag. Seems to me if the bar mounts where the engine cross member mounts I should be able to install using the same mounting points, but I've not seen a Stag that closely so...

You can't use the stag mounting points, that is where the engine crossmember mounts, and you need that to hold the engine in!!

The 2000 has a modified engine cross member with anti roll bar mounts incorporated.
The stag bolts to the chassis with u bolts, to the holes that are used to mount the engine crossmember. You can't do it.
The only reason I can, is because I have a Stag engine which mounts different and doesn't use an engine crossmember.

With a little bit of fabrication you can convert a standard engine crossmember to an anti-rollbar one.

The mounting brackets are just three sides of a box with two captive nuts welded in.

Re: The actual mounts, Chris Witor used to provide a two-piece aluminium machined version to replace the pressed steel U clamp, which are much nicer.

This shows the brackets.

Definitely makes the car flatter through fast bends. I have the aluminium brackets on my car.
