given up smoking

#1 Post by overtontriumph » Mon Mar 24, 2014 9:45 pm

Ok. So now given up smoking, I have some more money to spend so I'm looking to extract a few more ponies from the 2000 engine. My pre face lift 2000 is rated for 85 bhp which I would love to improve. Doing some research I have come across the GT vs everyone else argument. First things first, what is up with that! There seems to be a lot of arguments over what does what and who does what. I am hoping to keep the 2000 engine and would love to be able to extract 115-120 hp with good mid range torque while keeping it on carbs and approx 2000cc. I've read some of CW's paper work and would like some users of both sets of tech to advise on the best way forward if its even possible to do this.
Can anyone advise?

Hope I'm not starting anything bad here.

Phil

Relax, you're not starting anything bad here, the war has been raging for years!

And congrats on the stopping smoking, as former smoker myself, I know how hard it can be.
