Ken - a beautiful car you have there.

You will notice a really big difference with Megajolt - it refines everything and adds more punch.[/quote]

Thanks james

I have been told this! dont need more power Well maybe a bit (340 bhp at the flywheel ) just want to refine the drive in traffic. I hope this will take out some of the jerkiness when driving on light throttle at slow engine speeds (High lift cam with some over lap)Anyway i let you know when its fitted now back to the net to find a good advance curve to start with then will have to book a rolling road time up at maynards. The good thing about this system is you can put in two advance curves one for cruising and one for fun

Ken,

I think you will find with true 3D map that the vacuum differences between 'cruising' and hammering it are so marked that both advance curves can co-exist on the same ignition advance MAP. That is the beauty of megajolt / Megasquirt.

Unfortunately I now have 3 different sizes of injectors, from left to right in the picture they are Yamaha R1, Jaguar 2.5 V6 and Vectra V6.

I've lined them up so all the bottom O-rings (the mounting point) are in line, this gives a good idea of the difference in heights. I've also tried to show them as they would sit in the manifold.

Think I'll be following James advice and using the Vectra ones!

Ken - I have a spreadsheet that takes stock advance curves (both mech and vac) and makes a megajolt map out of it - might be a useful starting point if you know what your existing dizzy is set up for.

The angle of them is the issue as you still need to take meat away from the manifold - you could use the shorter ones it just means the fuel rail will be lower.

I would choose whichever ones are likely to have the correct flow for your engine.

Well the R1 injectors aren't any good, 150 BHP for the four, so very overfueled with six of the things on a standard 2000!

Can't find any figures for the Jag/Denso ones, so I'll play it safe and use the Vectra injectors, which also means I don't need to buy connectors, they came with a loom and regulator! :D

Just like to add, it seems sensible to stick with Bosch as much as possible, it's the stuff that's used on the biggest number of cars.

Well I got the install completed yesterday.

Seems to run well but still really needs a proper tune.
