Very nearly bought a TR7 off ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TRIUMPH-TR7-FHC-/ ... 3a630dc920

Buy it now £400 what a bargain! The BOSS said no though, ah well.

I am currently restoring a mk1 and ,as usual, looking through past threads for ideas and guidence. The strut brace seems like a sensible solution to flexing at the front end, has anyone got one available still?,
cheers,

Laurence
You don't need one on Mk1 as they don't flex like the Mk2 due to the dash being stronger

Looking to tighten up the handling on the MK2. I can see that they have well received for handling improvement, is that also if the car already has the front roll bar?

Does anyone know if these are any more available these days or is it still a case of getting one made up to order/DIY?

Good used anti roll bar set ups are probably the way to go - don't forget, beside the anti roll bar itself, you will also need the drop links, the front cross member (there are two types depending on the age of the intended vehicle), the mounting clamps and bushes, and the tie bars with the additional bracket for the lower mounting of the drop link.
If you are struggling to get hold of these parts, as chance would have it  I probably may have the majority of items you need, although I would recommend getting new drop links and bushes. PM me if you are interested.

She already has the roll bar, as a result you think there's no real gain to be had with a brace then?

Sorry, I misread your post thinking you needed an ARB not a strut brace.
I've not had any experience of a strut brace, so can't really give an opinion, except that unless you are really going the whole hog in trying to improve the performance and handling significantly, I wouldn't bother.
I personally think they are a an eyesore under the bonnet, but that's just me.....
