Hi there,
Does anyone know if an exhaust from a MK 2500 manual will fit a MK2 2500 auto . Is it be only the front pipe  thats different ? .
Many thanks Bert.

Hello Bert,
I have never tried but my parts catalogue (1975 edition) shows a different part number for all three section. The changes may be minor, but!!.

Hi Bert. The answer is no. The auto exhaust has to take a slightly different route to get around the pan of the auto box. So, you cannot fit a manual system to an auto. You can do it the other way round (not that this helps you in any way!!) an auto system will go on a manual as the gearbox is smaller.
The differences are in the front/down pipe and the centre section, the tailpipe seciton is the same, just different diameters for 2.0 and 2.5.

Hope this helps
