Will definitely post photos when I go to see it, Colin. Incidentally, the seller now tells me that the windscreen has been broken when carelessly shovelling snow off the vehicle (we have three feet of snow on the ground here). Any advice on where I should go for a windscreen? Is it something I should try to source in North America? I would imagine shipping from the UK would be very expensive and perhaps even risky.

One of our fellow Mk1 owners in the States is going to get a screen shipped over, so if you buy the car, perhaps you could pair up re shipping?.

I have told them about the car ( before I saw your post on here) after seeing it on FB and he is intersted in the car too...............
