I always find I get on better if I don't rush a job, and leave it until I'm "hungry". If not ,I end up doing it, not being happy with it and ripping it out and doing it again.This is probably why the Greeves has taken me 13 years so far! It may be my old eyes, but is the slave cylinder mounted upside down? In the photos it looks like the supply pipe is at the top, with the bleed nipple at the bottom, which will play havoc with clutch bleeding..

New tyres ,if stored correctly ,will not degrade,IF stored properly. I use constant velocity joint grease,as in the old Mini C.V. joints.Messy but effective.

Well done Mike, the starting is the hard part!! I have stalled on the old bike just now, but I won't go to it unless I'm "hungry".
