Re: Autobox queries - kickdown cable slack
Sadly that appears to be a box dismantle job from looking at the manual. No experience on my part, someone else may come along that knows. Dave Harvey probably you man.

Re: Fuel guage reading not compliant!
From experience, the top 'half' of the tank takes ages to use, the bottom 'half' much less so. The sender is just a float resistor moving on an arc. The arm moves very little at the top of its stroke compared to the bottom. This is exacerbated with the shape of the tank. The volume of the top 'half'...

Re: Fuel guage reading not compliant!
Easier to just remove the sender and move the arm connected to the wiring and watch the gauge. Cheaper too!

Did you run the arm up and down before fitting it as per previous post to check it first?

Then if the wire is connected to nothing, ie no circuit, the gauge should read zero or below. This way you have checked the gauge for correct operation. If all is well, then the sende...

Re: Clutch sticking when releasing pedal to engage gear
Definitely go for the hydraulics first. They are the easy bit. The other possibility (and I have had this before) is the release carrier not sliding on the nose piece of the gearbox smoothly and sticking. That unfortunately is a gearbox out job, so fingers crossed that the hydraulics sort it.

Forum view changed?
