Door Hinge Pin Removal Tool
Hello All, Just to share a highly successful attempt to make a hinge in removal tool. Forgive my welding, but like my motor I am a bit rusty, and it was made as a workhorse, not a showpiece. I post a few stage photos and give the dimensions of what I used, use your judgement on your design, but this...

Re: Quiet Forum
Reminds me, I bought a rollover jig some time ago with every intention... Still waiting for me, but seeing that ease of access stirs the incentive. Trying to make a hinge pin removal clamp right now for the one I'm driving - big 50 this year so a birthday treat.

Re: Quiet Forum
Well said, - the amount of 'unreal' across the internet is incredible and getting a bit out of hand. Problem is, it is spiced with a little bit of reality just to make it seem possible. I guess it suits the Drama Queens but personally I find enough drama in real life without looking for more. I only...

Re: Quiet Forum
Must be the former, all running good. Just brought mine up to date with new Stereo (New to me) & installed Triple Info Display. Kept me quiet for a day or two - lots of extra wires to find room for & modifying heater & dash' to install the display.

Re: Steering Lock Barrel
For anyone considering doing the same job. Indeed it is a tiny roll pin, and I can see why it is not intended to be easy to withdraw as this is not a job for the feint hearted. It is easy enough to drift through into the barrel and with a smart tap on the bench it will fall out through the keyhole. ...

Re: Cigar lighter - reconditioning
Must be the season for it - I have just put mine back into operation after about a year without it. I am a smoker so did miss it. Inside of the old one was very burned/rusty but luckily found a good one stashed away in the garage. Mine has the original metal rings each side for mounting, but I see t...

Steering Lock Barrel
Has anyone removed the Steering Lock Barrel on an early Mk2 2000 - there is a pin of some description keeping the collar in place in the main body of the lock, but doesn't seem to be spring loaded or hexagon socket. It looks more like a tiny roll pin, but at present I can't see how to release it. Bo...

Re: Rotisserie/Rollover Jig
Thanks Alec,
Good to have something to go on rather than pure guesswork. Slightly above that Tinsmith_Skippy measured, but there is some adjustment on the vertical arms of the jig I have just picked up which will give me a few inches either way.
Thanks again,
Pete

Re: Rotisserie/Rollover Jig
Thanks Johnny, I did see mention in his post Barn Find and tried to send a message. I don't think it went through and I couldn't view the images on his post. I will try again.

Rotisserie/Rollover Jig
I have just bought a rollover jig to do some serious work on a '73 Mk2 Saloon. Has anyone that has rolled one of these happened to make a note of the pivot height to get the center of gravity somewhere near, and save me a bit of trial and error. Doors, bonnet and boot lid all coming off, so just the...
