Re: national 2014
Get the handbrake working, if I can find the necessary parts, fit 2 rubber boots on the steering rose joints, re-make dash loom and re-fit the gauges and get some new rear springs.CRAJ wrote:

Re: MK1 Rear Trailing Arms Conversion
Guess it's the decreased leverage from the wheel via the shorter arm?Alec wrote:Hello Andy,
the effective spring rate has been increased due to the shorter arm length, so will give a slightly increased ride height.
Alec
Don't suppose you know the ratio between spring length and ride height........!

Sorry Lloyd, not my email playing, but my brain! Didn't think to check the email for attachments, thanks for sending it again though.
Surely, the hardest part of what you're doing, is coping with muppets like me! Thanks again Lloyd.

Re: MK1 Rear Trailing Arms Conversion
Well, the MK1 arms are now on, along with 4 new UJ's and a set of Superflex. Car now looks very strange, guess I'd got used to the way the MK2 arms filled the wheelarch with wheel and tyre! The tyre now looks a long way away from the edge of the arch, not helped by the fact, that the car is sitting ...
