Any DVLA Experts on Here ?
This isn't about my Triumph, it's another car I own. I seem to have bought a car that should be tax free but isn't because someone has previously swapped the logbook. I have tried asking DVLA about what to do and they say to send my logbook to them along with any details/proof of the cars real ident...

Re: RWU 356M........
Have you sent off to the DVLA for a copy of the details they hold ? I did it with one of my other cars and you can look on google to see where it used to live !

Re: Original Technical Publications DVD....?
The same company do these for Volvos as well and I have a couple of them. I didn't realise they were offering them for other makes. The Volvo ones are what you expect but the big problem is that you don't actually own the info, to gain access you have a license and you have to be online to view the ...

Re: panel update
Thanks for adding the update Lloyd. Although I have been reading the posts I wasn't exactly sure how things were going and didn't really want to ask ! I'm surprised to hear you have found people who don't know about the panels as a guy on Retro rides from Sweden knows about them ! Any chance someone...

Re: Slightly twitchy rev counter...
I'm not sure if it's the same problem but when the one in my car played up I stripped it apart and re-tightened some of the internal screws. Some of the screws form electrical connections between the chassis of the instrument and the terminals where the wiring joins. Over the years I think the sprin...

Re: wobbly gearknob
I don't think a faulty one would be a common thing mine muct have just slipped through the net, and , it was over ten years ago now ! I first thought it was the sliding joint as pumping it full of fresh grease improved things a lot. After finding the problem I think it was just damping the vibration...

Re: wobbly gearknob
I had similar problems with my car and it turned out to be the propshaft was the problem. It was a reconditioned one but didn't run true. Various check were made and I ended up taking it to a propshaft repairer and he said it nearly broke his balancer when he tried it ! The only way to fix it was to...

Re: engine woes
The amp gauge bit makes me wonder if the drive belt is slipping. This could be down to a faulty alternator of water pump possibly.
The missfire might just be down to fuel vaporisation with the pipe running round the head getting too hot or possibly the coil overheating.
