You can get alloy pipes (which are a better choice than steel because they are lighter and won't corrode).
Please go for one with beaded ends.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292269035924 Hi, Since my last message I have bought a Suzuki Vitara radiator as shown in the link, it will require some mountings fabricating, the bottom hose is in the correct position and the expansion pipe too, but the top connection will need a flexible hose and I ma...

Re: Aftermarket tachmoeter/rev counter
Only four years later... I have fitted a PFL Mk2 PI dash into my 1972 2000 - just in time for the RBRR. However the one on the dash doesn't work correctly. I believe it's due to me having the 123 electronic ignition fitted and my rev counter is the RVI type. Can anyone recommend a place to convert ...

Yes......
Warm the hose up in hot water.
This will soften it which allows it to slide easily into position.

There must be a web site that gives the rolling circumference of various wheel and tyre sizes? Indeed there is.... https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=175&aspect=80&diameter=14&wheelwidth=5.5&offset=22&width2=195&aspect2=60&wheel_size=15&wheel_width=6&offset2=22 (I tried doing a relevant co...

Either way, does anyone know offhand what the diameter for the top/bottom hoses on the 2500 are? The kit says it's suitable for 32-40mm diameter hoses which sounds about right. 32mm bore. Please note that hose measurements are given as the internal diameter, whereas pipes are sized as outside diame...

Re: Scabby wheel arches
To be blunt John,
if I had a car that wasn't capable of supporting it's own weight as described
I wouldn't be driving it until it was sorted!

Re: Scabby wheel arches
On to Sills. Both cars sported solid outers but these had clearly been worked on. In one case it looked like they were new (i.e. not patched). Inners seemed ok from inside. Floors ok. Should I be concerned about the inner centre sill section ? There is a way to gauge the integrity of the sill struc...

Re: Flywheel spigot bushing
Having just replaced the clutch and spigot bush on my 'S'.... The spigot bush was noticeably oval, so I decided to replace it. The original bush itself was quite a slack fit in the flywheel (as another one was in a spare flywheel I had). I ordered a replacement from Chris Witor, and that was quite ...
