it is possible to get a car up there so long as it's the right type, Land Rovers still seem faily popular round here wether it's tourists or locals, this one was a farmer's

We spent today walking in the Vallee de Confins which is local to where we are staying in the alpes, about 1600m we walked up to but fortunately there is a car park half way up, more low gear climbing for the car but worth the views valle de confins (38) (Small).JPG valle de confins (27) (Small).JPG

A bit more hill climbing today, went to the top of the Col de aravis, Earlier in the day I cycled up there, very hard work but effortless in a Triumph, a lot of it in taken 4th gear until the hairpin bends slowed me down. It's a very popular climb for the cyclists as it's used on the Tour de France ...

A couple years back I replaced my pads with green stuff types and new discs, the difference and improvement in braking efficiency was immense. If your car has stood a while the disc surface could be poor. All my parts came from Chris witor. All the above regarding hydraulics still applies of course.
